Wooza what a week!
Life is good this week we had exchanges with the Alliance
Sisters, we got urgent text and voicemails, we rode our bikes, saw multiple
drug deals, almost saw a naked man, one of the Elders lost his wallet, and had
some good lessons with our people.
Exchanges were bomb! We got to be in Alliance which is
always a blessing because I love that place! I got to teach John! I don’t know
if I have ever explained John, but his story is really cool! He is supposed to
get baptized in Dec and I am hoping I will be able to go! We also raked a ton
of leaves! Oh and I got to see Sister Fishburn (used to be Freed if you
remember her from my emails at the start of my mission). She is so cute! When I
was there we were working with her just to come to church and then maybe get to
the temple. Now she is totally active and has been to the temple to do
baptisms! She is awesome! It was really cool to see how far she has come and
grown since I first started helping her.
Story time! One day Sister McElhaney and I are out doing
missionary work. Talking to all the people it was great! If you didn't know
being a missionary is THE BEST! We’re walking around and I am like I have to
pee, but I was like we only have about an hour until we will be back at our
apartment I'll be fine. About a half hour later, however I was dying! I told
Sister McElhaney if we don’t find a bathroom in like 5 minutes I am gonna
burst! We just pull up on the GPS a gas station. It's just a shell gas station,
so we are like its probs fine. I am like that sounds great I really had to pee
I didn't really care. We get there and it was the most Sketchy place I have
been! This guy just did a drug deal as he was walking out of the store.... we
still walk in because I need to pee!!!! We walk in and everyone looks at like
why are there two white chicks in a dress at our shell. 😂😂😂
Then we look around and realize there isn't even a bathroom! So we scaddle out
of there. We found a McDonald not too far away though, so I didn't die!
Okay, one last cool thing then I have to go finish packing!
So we are teaching this cool lady named Lyn. She is awesome! I taught at the
start of my mission when I came here on exchanges with Sister Garvin. Ever
since I have been here I have wanted to see her, but it just never worked out
or it just didn't feel right. At the start of this transfer we went and saw her
and we started teaching her again. I was a bit nervous because she didn't seem
to be the biggest fan of The Book of Mormon last time. It was really good
because we were able to get her into and actually reading it! She is going
through it and marking it! She is way more open now to the message we share and
it’s because she got into The Book of Mormon. That is the only different
nothing really in her life is different not much has change for her since
Sisters first started teaching her, but it's the power The Book of Mormon had
because it is truly the word of God!
