Hello Everyone!
Wow this week has been crazy! I feel like so much happened.
I don't know where to start. I have looking at this for like 5 mins trying to
figure out what I wanted to say. Oh I will start out with what I learned in 1 Nephi
2. It was all about Lehi’s choice to go. He took that act of faith and follow
the Lord. He didn't have to but, he did. It was all was his choice to follow. I
would invite all you to read Alma 32. This chapter has been my favorite chapter
here in the MTC. We have used it so much in lessons. I love it! I want to hear
your insights from it!
Wednesday was so much fun! I got host the new missionaries
coming it! It was a party. Sister Harris and I were just cracking jokes the
whole time. She is sooo funny. The new missionaries probably thought we were a
whole bunch of crazies. It was a fun time. We were outside like the whole day
which was nice but, all of us got a little sun burnt. We all had like weird tan
lines. Sister Chance had the worst one. She got one from here necklaces on her
back. I wish I had a picture because it was pretty funny looking.
Thursday, we had in field training. It was a long day of
just sitting and a ton of information being thrown at our faces. My companion
is convinced that she met her husband there.... Jk we joke we kid. It was funny
though!
Friday we went to the field for our exercise time and we ran
around doing an indian run. We let Sister Parker talk us into it. She runs for
USU she is super fast so, it was not fun when she was the lead. It was like
trying to keep up with a Barker! IT WAS NOT FUN! After though we play soccer
and Kan Jam. Kan Jam was so much fun. I don't really know how to explain it
but, I have a six pack after playing that!
I feel like this is a boring email that only my mom is going
to read so, here are some funny stories. We had a PI this week named Andy. He
just lost his dad and is depressed. He was interested in learning more about
our church after something is Aunt said to him. Well during the lesson, we were
talking about Jesus Christ Atonement and he was asking why we need it. He said
that he didn't feel like he was really a sinner so why did he need it. The
first scripture that popped in my mind was Romans 3:23 Which says, "For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". He read that and
said, " Well, that was a slap in the face" So yes, I told a depressed
man that he was a sinner. Hahahaha. It’s all good though an PI is just a role
play thing. My companion and I laughed at this for soooo long. Second funny
story is all Sister Harris. She was eating an ice cream sandwich and she had it
all in her teeth and these Elders were introducing themselves to her. She turns to them and says hi with ice cream sandwich
all in her teeth. I was dying. I am laughing just thinking about it.
Something exciting things for this week is that I leave for
OHIO in like 10 hours! I am so excited to get out to the field. I am excited to
find the people that the Lord sent me to Ohio to find. I know that this is the
work of the Lord and that this is His church restored on the Earth. I am
excited to be able to share the knowledge that I have of our Savior with the
people in Ohio.
Well, I hope y'all have a great week. Try to serve others
this week. Even in small ways like giving them a note whatever. Every small act
of kindness does something.
